Bearly Read Books Announces Resuming Open-Shop Hours
Now offering open shop days in addition to by-appointment shopping
Sudbury— April 6, 2021  Bearly Read Books announces they will begin to offer open-shop hours beginning Saturday, April 10, while still offering an option to pre-book private appointments.
“As vaccinations and positivity rates are moving in the right direction, people are becoming more comfortable with shopping socially distanced with masked customers beyond their individual pod ” said Betty Ann Sharp, Co-Owner at Bearly Read Books. “We recognize a desire for things to “get back to normal” so we are trying to find a way to meet the needs of all our customers.”
Positive Customer Impact
Customers have shopped online, curbside and most recently by appointment over the past year, and they have constantly given praise in appreciation for Bearly Read Book’s commitment to safety. Those options will continue. They are continuing to take reservations for customers to shop alone or with their pod, in half-hour time slots for just a $25 deposit for each half hour. This deposit goes toward the purchase, with any balance back to you in a gift certificate. But the best part, is customers get 25% off their entire purchase and an entire bookstore to themselves!
Open Shop Availability
Starting Saturday, April 10rd, Bearly Read Books will open 10 AM to 6 PM and each subsequent Wednesday and Saturday, for customers who do not wish to make an appointment and want to come in, even if there are other customers in the store. Customers will still need to wear a mask, sanitize and respect six-foot distancing. “We will also need to limit the total number of shoppers to eight at any one time”, says Jim Ellis, Co-Owner. “There are tape marks on the floor so customers will have a visual clue to help distancing. If someone forgets a mask, we have hand-made masks for $5 with 100% going to Partners in Health.”
Both Ellis and Sharp look forward to welcoming more customers back into Bearly Read Books.
Founded in 1989, Bearly Read Books is Metrowest’s largest antiquarian and used book store. They currently have an inventory of over 36,000 volumes, encompassing nearly every subject, from inexpensive paperbacks to rare and uncommon volumes.
